(Important QBS equipment features that you might not be aware of)

FORMS - Did you know that most of our printers and copiers
can memorize forms that can be used as backgrounds/templates for
your print jobs? Most popularly used for invoices,
electronic forms stored in our printers and copiers can replace those
expensive and noisy tractor-feed papers, as well as eliminate
the need to pay a printing company to make your forms! You
can store multiple forms within our machines and simply direct
the print job to the right form as you send the job! Even
if you 'need' green-bar paper, we can simulate the green-bar
image without the tractor-feed cost!

NETWORK FAXING - Did you know that most of our copiers can
also serve as a network fax machine? Network faxing lets
you send faxes - right from your desk! Hundreds of PC
users can share the same network fax machine - all useable just
like a print driver! And, network fax also can receive
faxes into a hard-drive folder or even send incoming faxes to
email! Our network faxed copier will also send you a
message on your PC to let you know a 'paperless fax' has
arrived! No more wasted paper on those 'spam faxes'! Of
course, you can print out any faxes that you'd like at the touch
of a button. All this - and no licensing fees! Once
you have the copier outfitted the way you want it, that's it!

MULTIPLE INTERFACES - Did you know that most of our copiers
and printers offer several print interfaces that can be used
simultaneously? Simply put, if the printer/copier is
printing from the network connector, it can also print from it's
USB connection and it's parallel connection, too! Of
course, you can leave all (3) of these connections plugged in
permanently and we can even assign differing priorities and
buffer sizes to each interface! Many of our machines not
only have several interfaces as standard equipment, but also
offer other interface options - like 2 NIC cards, or wireless
NIC cards!

BOOKLET MAKING - Did you know that many of our copiers and
printers can not only hole-punch for you, but also make a
complete booklet? These machines can take a multi-page
document, fold it and saddle-stitch it! Add this feature
to one of our color machines and you can make your own magazines
without leaving your seat!

PRIVATE PRINTING -
Did you know that you can share one of
our copier/printers with your other office teammates, and still
keep your print jobs private? Especially useful for HR
departments or payroll processing, the print job can be simply
coded with a password when you send it from your desk!
This way, it will not print out until you come up to the machine
and enter the password you've chosen! All this without
interfering with the print jobs of others!

MAILBOX PRINTING - Did you know that in a shared printing
environment, most QBS printers and copiers can still separate
your print jobs from others? We can accomplish this via
hardware (each user has a 'bin' on the finisher where their jobs
end up) or we can accomplish this electronically (each user will
have an area on the control panel and their jobs will be printed
out on their command).

KM-NET VIEWER - Did you know that you can administer all
your QBS copiers and printers right from a central point?
From seeing when a door is open to looking at your toner supply,
you can actually watch your machines (and your users) without
leaving your desk! You can send firmware updates to the
machines, you can select to be notified if certain things happen
(jams, toner empty, etc.) This software comes with your copier
or printer from QBS - FREE! It also recognizes most common
printers and connected products from other manufacturers!

JOB ACCOUNTING - Did you know that you can assign
logins/passwords to your user community? You can assign
these passwords for copying and/or printing to limit use, or
simply to monitor what each user or department is doing.
You can allow certain users to make a limited number of
copies/prints - or you can lock them out all together!
Also available free is an administrator software package (KM-Net
for Accounting) that allows remote administration of this
process and even prints out usage reports!

SCAN TO DATABASE - Did you know that you can scan documents
to several different locations on your network - and in many
cases, surf through different folders to actually place the file
exactly where you want it? Right from the control panel of
your copier, you can navigate through folders and subfolders to
deposit your scan jobs where you'd like. Many of our
customers have essentially eliminated their physical filing
cabinets with this feature. They simply set up a folder
for each customer or group and then deposit the scan job
directly from the copier into the desired folder!

OCR SOFTWARE - Did you know that you can modify a scanned
document from one of our machines? Most QBS copiers that
are equipped with scanning now come with Paper Port OCR software
- FREE! This allows you to scan in a document, then change
the text of your choice on the document. Many of our legal
community customers enjoy this feature since it allows them to
change details of a large written contract without having to
re-type the entire contract.

TWAIN SCANNING - Did you know that you can set up a direct
interface from one of our copier's scanner systems to a specific
application or piece of equipment that is TWAIN compliant?
TWAIN is just one of the methods our copier's scanning systems
can use. TWAIN scanning allows for direct creation of
native files for a specific application. Several of our
customers use this feature. The most interesting of which
is a TWAIN interface that scans sheet music into a composer
program, then plays the music on a MIDI keyboard. The
software then also allows for re-arrangement of the music -
including transposing it into another key!

GROUP AND/OR DELAYED FAXING -
Did you know our copiers and fax machines can group fax?
Simply place the document on the fax once, and the machine will
fax the document to many different destinations for you!
Several of our customers use this feature for press releases or
to send memo documentation out to several branch locations.
Delayed faxing is also a standard feature that allows you to fax
a document and schedule the phone connection for a later time.
In this manner, you can truly manage your phone connection
traffic or send large documents to long distance numbers - after
peak hours!

PRINTER & SCANNER WEB PAGES -
What could be easier than managing your QBS copier or
printer right from your web browser? Each of our copiers
and printers present a web page at their own IP address that can
be used via a web browser such as Internet Explorer. You
can monitor machine features, toner, meters and even change
settings right from the screen!

AUTOMATIC COMMUNICATION WITH QBS -
Did you know that most
QBS copiers and printers can communicate with our office
automatically? In most cases, the copier/printer or fax
can communicate with QBS via the machine's NIC card. We
monitor these communications for signs of issues to help your
productivity even before you realize it. These
communications can send us meter reports automatically as well
as advise us of your need for toner, etc. If you have a
meter-based maintenance agreement, you'll enjoy not having to
send in meter reports anymore!
